p>Minecraft convention company is sorry for Peterborough's protest-stricken event

p>After angry parents have criticized the convention on social media, the organizers of a Minecraft convention stated that they were "truly sorry".

p>But many people have stated that they waited for hours to meet with famous players and demanded refunds.

p>O'Brien Event Management stated that a new system would be implemented to reduce the queues in the future.

p>Lisa O'Brien of O'Brien Event Management previously stated to the BBC that the line was 45 minutes long because of the large crowds of people showing on the day and did not purchase tickets in advance.

p>The company also published an official statement on its website, stating: "We are truly sorry that our event didn't live up to the expectations of a few people."

p>The company also issued an announcement from Peterborough Arena, which was responsible for catering, and also blamed the "sheer quantity" of people who walked through the door on the day for the long queues.

p>Both parties agreed they would follow up with any parents who contact them disgruntled.

p>Refunds haven't been discussed, however, some parents claimed they received them the next day after contacting staff.

p>Online ticketing company YPlan said that it was "actively seeking information about the event's organizer to better understand its position regarding refunds, and will seek compensation for all of our customers who were dissatisfied with this event."
